The sea spirit

This is the first illustration i made for kunstbedrijf Arnhem/stichting beleven.
It is a for a folklore story about a djinn (sea spirit) who confronts a fisherman about his daily activities.
He's not too pleased with him fishing in his sea. The fisherman explains that he has to take care of his familiy.
The djinn gives the man a magic table, that would make food.
so that the fisherman no longer needs to fish.

This is the scene where the fisherman meets the djinn.

It's been a while since i drew something XD i hope it looks ok.
